12 Nostalgic Days of Christmas: 12 Christmas Wishes {Twelfth Day}

Merry Christmas Eve!  We hope our 12 Days of Christmas series was as enjoyable for you to read as it was for us to create. If you missed a day, the list of every post can be found at the end of this post.

Thank you to everyone who liked and commented on the daily posts and a big thank you to all our new followers since we started the series on December 13. (And once again, thank you to our first 100 followers!)

2016 was a year filled with change. 2017 promises to be one filled with goals, growth, and gratitude, and what better way to celebrate Christmas and the coming of the new year than sharing a list of 12 Christmas wishes created especially for you, our wonderful readers.  We hope you can find some positive, encouraging, and hopeful words here and can use them to create better days today.

January

The promise of new beginnings shines through the gray winter skies and takes hold, pulling you forward toward more beautiful days ahead.

In January, we wish you new beginnings.

February

Enjoy the comforts of a warm and happy home. It is there you will find all the things you need to sustain you through the year.

In February, we wish you warmth.

March

Do not listen to the naysayers, the negative thinkers, the party-poopers, the doubters, or the haters. They will tell you give up hope.  But hope . . . hope, along with hard work, love, and honesty, will allow you to do or be anything you want to be.

In March, we wish you hope.

April

Acceptance of self and acceptance of others will allow you to breathe.

In April, we wish you peace.

May

Put away your smartphone, your tablet, and your computer, and start imagining and dreaming.  Stand in awe of the world, at least for a moment.

In May, we wish you the joys of wonder.

June

Shine a light on all the good things in your life–the people, the places, the opportunities. You will find that when you do that, what is reflected will be far brighter than if you relegate everything to your shadow.

In June, we wish you plenty of sunshine.

July

Leave a little room for the good stuff–the stuff that feeds the soul, the stuff that let’s you sit back, smile, and say, “well that was awesome.”

In July, we wish you satisfaction.

August

Let your eyes linger on the astonishing artistry of the world, the awe inspiring vistas, the spectacular sunsets, the breathtaking mountains, the kaleidoscopic colors; and then let your heart linger on the loveliness of the world unseen–the peace, the serenity, the love, the kindness.

In August, we wish you all of life’s beauty.

September

Fall represents another opportunity for new beginnings; leaves change color, kids head back to school, and there is a sense of limitless opportunity to start anew.

In September, we wish you the opportunity for renewal.

October

Don’t take yourself too seriously. Life is way too short—and way too funny—to be a grump.

In October, we wish you laughter.

November

You can go it alone, but remember: People need your kind words, your gentle touch, your wisdom, your strength. And you need theirs.

In November, we wish you uplifting personal connections.

December

There are times that saying “no” is the right thing.  But when that little voice tells you to say “yes,” you should listen.

In December, we wish for you the wisdom to know when to say “yes.”

We are going to take some time off until the New Year to spend some quality time with family and friends, but keep an eye out for a post from us next week that will give you a heads up on what we have planned for 2017 here at The Nostalgia Diaries. If you are looking to live a simpler, happier, and more fulfilling life, we think The Nostalgia Diaries will provide you the inspiration to do just that. We look forward to connecting with you in the new year.
