Earlier this month, Bob Dylan, one of the most successful, well-known, and celebrated musicians—if not somewhat controversial—in our history, won the 2016 Nobel Prize in Literature. Dylan is the first musician to receive the award, and his selection sparked many discussions on whether or not he truly deserved the prize due to the fact that he is a songwriter instead of an author.
All debates aside, there is no question that Dylan is a masterful storyteller. The messages and lessons that his music communicates transcend time and are ones to which we can instantly relate, no matter the generation we grew up in.
