Quick: Think of a place where you have visited or lived in that gives you the feels…
You know the place I’m talking about. That place that makes you feel at peace. At home. The place that your mind goes when you think about your “happy place.” Your go-to vacation spot. Your getaway.
How many times have you been there? Once? A hundred times? Maybe you live there. Maybe it’s a place so familiar you can close your eyes and you are instantly transported there.
Or maybe it’s just a place you saw in a travel magazine, and you knew that was YOUR place, and you knew that someday you would get there. Someday.

How does thinking about your place make you feel? Warm and fuzzy? Content? Happy? Did you associate the place with someone you know? Someone you used to know? Friends? Family? Have you shared your place with others? Your children?

Or have you kept it secret because it’s your place?
When were you last there? If you haven’t been there in a long time, why not plan a trip?
Or if that is not feasible, be an armchair traveler. Visit websites. Search for images.
Or if you want, go old school and visit a library and read books.

Twenty years from now, will you be thinking about the place you are right now?
Go ahead, nostalgia seeker: Go find your place.
(And don’t worry . . . We’ll still be here when you get back.)

My place is my home with no kids in it! HA! Happy friday!
Haha! That is a happy place for me too!
I don’t have kids so this is my home, lol. Join us on the dark side!
My happy place depends on the day! Sometimes it’s my cozy room with a cup of coffee and a good Netflix show, and other times it’s London because it’s my favorite city ever!
I admit I do have a number of favorite places, but one that really sticks out is Grand Teton National Park (funny that is one of the pictures)! My husband and I have been more times then I can count. We’ve explored the park by driving, day hikes, backpacking, camping, canoeing and more. It struck us the very first time we visited how much it felt like home. That feeling has never changed. We hope to go back next year and introduce our 2-year old to this special place.
I love the mountains of Colorado! There is something so magical for me there. I lived there for a couple of years with my husband who was in the Army. We both felt like it was home and would love to move back one day. #goals
My place is the library. I like my neighborhood library the best, but really, ANY library. Being in a peaceful place surrounded by books is just the best!
My happy place is next to my husband – wherever he is. At the moment, he’s asleep in his recliner after working hard all day, and snoring like a train. Still…the feels. 😍
My place>>> It is the beach during the fall! It’s not crowded… perfect weather and sun! I always leave inspired, refreshed, and new! <3 My daily place is in my jammies, in my bedroom, reading a book! <3
Long Beach Island, New Jersey. We’ve been going as a family every summer for 30 years and it’s pure magic seeing my kids experiencing it now. It’s like reliving my own childhood.
Oh my I love this post! What a perfect little get-away you set up here for your readers! In the summer we head to our family’s cottage by the lake and spend our weekends on the boat and beach! That is one of my “places” for sure! I also find refuge in a warm tub of bubbles with a glass of wine. I little more accessible lol Thanks for the refresher!

Of the places I visited, the West coast of Ireland is *my place* (Connemara). Of the places I’ve never been to, Iceland and New Zealand have been calling my name for years now… and I can’t wait to visit ♥ Loved this post!!!
I love this! My place is Itasca State Park – lakes, river, woods. Gives me peace.
I have only visited my place once, but I knew it was the place immediately. I hope to share that place with my family someday!
Love the way you wrote this! For sure brings me back to great memories of my favorite places!
Beautiful this, My place is Itasca State Park – river, lakes, woods. Gives me peace.
