Nostalgia

And the Winner Is…

Last week, we decided to host a contest as part of our one year blog anniversary celebration and as a thank you to all of our readers. For the contest, one lucky commenter had the opportunity to win an awesomely nostalgic Fujifilm Instax Mini 9 camera by answering the following question:

What’s your favorite nostalgic memory?
(The question is only fitting, right?
Given our obsession with nostalgia and all…)

We had so much fun reading through the comments you all left, and although it was SO hard to decide, we’re excited to announce that the winner of our ‘Favorite Nostalgic Memory’ contest is Joanna from Mudpie Lullaby!

We couldn’t help but fall in love with this wonderfully evocative memory she shared:

“My favorite is swinging on my tummy on the old metal swing set in my gramma’s garden. Her house is in the oak woods on a hill top in North Arkansas, and as I swung I would watch the flickers of sunlight trickling through the oak leaves on the ground in front of me.”

Reading her words, we felt like we were transported to the those oak woods in Arkansas, swinging in the sunlight right along with her. It felt like so many of the nostalgic memories we share here on the blog!

Congratulations, Joanna! Your awesome Instax Mini 9 camera is on its way!
We hope you enjoy using it to capture some of the wonderful memories you are making with your family.

And thank you again to everyone for sharing with us their favorite nostalgic memories and for joining us in our blogging journey. We’re so happy to have you as a part of The Nostalgia Diaries family!
